Putting JALAS Zenit Evo 7198 to the Test: A Professional's Winter Boot Review
When you work outdoors in winter, your gear has to deliver — especially your work boots. That’s why the JALAS Zenit Evo 7198 was put to the test by Daniel Eld, CEO and hands-on operator of AB Mobilkranar and Dirtpro. Whether he’s running crane jobs or doing heavy groundwork and foundations, Daniel knows what it takes for gear to hold up in wet, cold, and demanding environments.
Daniel has decades of experience in mobile crane operations and groundwork, making him an expert in workwear. He recently tested the JALAS Zenit Evo 7198 safety winter boots in one of the toughest testing grounds: real Nordic winter conditions.
“They’ve been put through it all — melting snow, heavy slush, soaked ground. They held up really well, especially since they have water-repellent properties rather than being fully waterproof. They’re mainly built for cold conditions, not constant wetness, so I think they performed great overall. Some water did get through in extreme situations, but I’m impressed,” Daniel shared.
Despite the wet and rugged environment, comfort was what stood out the most. “They’re very comfortable. That’s the best thing about them,” he noted.
Field-Tested Performance in Rough Terrain
Daniel didn’t go easy on the boots. He tested them while breaking new ground and working in rough, uneven terrain. The boots passed with flying colors:
“Great grip. They handled the terrain well.”
